Continental Tire launched a free new digital tire tool on Tuesday.
ContiConnect LITE is a smartphone solution that allows access to some ContiConnect services. Fleets and drivers can test the system for free, the company says, to show them how routine tire checks can improve the overall health and maintenance to their vehicle's tires.

ContiConnect LITE works with Generation II sensors and Continental Intelligent Tires. Users will be able to access their tire data via Bluetooth without a yard reader or live system. They will be able to see tire pressure and temperature data for up to give vehicles. Continental says the system is perfect for a pre-trip inspection.
The company says ContiConnect LITE can help reduce breakdowns, labor and maintenance costs by making tire checks easier. It also helps with employee and driver safety and can save on fuel costs, Continental says.
The ContiConnect LITE app is available for iOS and Android.
