Chicago Pneumatic introduced the CP8609 eBlueTork at the American Truck Association's Technology and Maintenance Council trade show.
The company says the battery torque wrench increases technician safety, ensures wheel-off safety, offers real-time data and traceability, and has increased durability. It's safe for heavy truck and bus applications, including U-bolt maintenance, wheel maintenance and frame maintenance.
The CP8609 has a new gearbox with a maximum speed of 15 rpm, which Chicago Pneumatic says is more durable and precise than past gearboxes. It also comes in blade, cup or extended cup reaction bar types, each with five torque levels.
