Ex-Guard has a new front-end protection guard for the fifth-generation Freightliner Cascadia and new guards for Class2-5 vehicles.

The Cascadia guard is part of the company's flagship XG series. The new FX and HX Series Heavy Duty Grille Guards fit Class 2-5 vehicles.

The XG-150G3 Cascadia protects the bumper, grille, radiator, collision mitigation sensors, hood and headlights of the truck. Ex-Guard says it worked with industry partners, customers and manufacturer to validate the design and strength of the new guard.

"This guard is by far the most advanced model our team has ever produced," says Jeremy Drever, Ex-Guard's director of engineering. "The design has to work in harmony alongside all the advanced sensor technology of the Cascadia to provide an unprecedented balance of protection and value. We've already had several of the industry-leading fleets place orders for this guard. The fleets and owner-operators that use our front-end protection solutions benefit by defending critical and potentially costly safety components and truck parts from parking lot incidents, wildlife and even other vehicles or hazards on the road."

The new guard features lift assist, which helps raise and lower the guard, and is made of 8-gauge, high-tensile steel coated with 3mm of EVRCoast PVC finish. It has LEVRLock dual latches and an additional cross bar for increased grille coverage.

The Cascadia guard is available for order now at any Ex-Guard dealer.

"Ex-Guard has redefined durability and design for Class 8 semi-truck protection in North America for nearly 20 years," Drever says. "Now we're bringing that same level of protection to heavy-duty trucks and chassis. It's Class 8 protection for Class 2-5 vehicles."

The new guards fit:

  • Ford F-150, F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550.
  • Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500HD, 3500HD.
  • RAM 1500-3500.

Ex-Guard says it plans to expand to other popular work vehicles, such as Toyota trucks, Rivian vehicles, cargo vans and full-size SUVs. The grilles are ClearZone collision mitigation system (CMS) compatible, ensuring it can function properly without guard interference. They are also designed to absorb the impact of a collision and distribute force evenly.
