Ex-Guard released new front-end protection solutions for the Volvo VNR and VNL.
The VM guard works with all of Volvo's advanced technology systems, says Jeremy Drever, Ex-Guard's director of engineering.
"Just like the new Volvo VNL and VNR themselves, these guards represent a leap forward in design and performance," he says. "For the XG-150G3-VM and EX-150G3-VM extreme duty models, we've increased hood protection height, redesigned the upper section for better headlight coverage and enhanced logo visibility, all while preserving the advanced sensor functionality and aerodynamic styling that Volvo customers expect."

Ex-Guard says it worked directly with industry partners, customers and the manufacturer to develop the five new models of protection solutions and tested each to validate the design and strength of each guard.
Additional features of the guards include:
- ClearZone CMS-compatible design that works with the truck's built-in collision mitigation system radars.
- Ex-Guard's patented XERO-G Lift Assist, which reduces the effort to raise and lower the guard.
- 8-gauge high-tensile steel coated with 3mm of EVRCoat PVC finish.
- LEVRLock dual latches.
- An additional cross bar for increased grille coverage.
- A license plate bracket.
The new VM-series guards are available now at any of Ex-Guard's 2,500 dealers across the U.S. and Canada.
