Grote Industries introduced its new 4SEE Rear View Camera at the American Trucking Associations’ Management Conference & Exhibition (MCE) Sunday, expanding the wired safety capabilities available through the company's 4SEE platform.
Designed for fleet applications, the next-generation camera uses data-transfer technology paired with the existing wired single J560 connection. The setup provides drivers with immediate, reliable backing video with virtually no latency. Because the solution is wired, it eliminates the need for wireless pairing or management, allowing drivers to simply plug in and go.

With the rear-view camera, Grote Networks Vice President Andrew Grose said the company is taking something fleets deal with every day; backing visibility "and making it immediate, reliable and simple for the driver."
There’s no pairing, he noted, and no wireless connection drops and no extra wires to manage. With great transfer speed, ample bandwidth for multiple cameras and soon to include the addition of bi-directional truck-trailer data, Grose said this technology eliminates the need for a new tractor-trailer connector.
The camera is designed for easy installation on existing 4SEE trailers, allowing fleets to add wired backing visibility while continuing to build on their current platform.
