Meritor awarded funding to reduce energy consumption

MeritorMeritor’s Heath, Ohio, facility celebrated the receipt of two grants from federal, state and local officials totaling $200,000 in recognition of the site’s efforts to reduce energy costs through the installation of high-efficiency, environmentally friendly lighting in the plant.

The event was held on June 28 at the plant, and among the attendees at the event were Mike Deep, Meritor site manager; Richard Hanlon, Meritor vice president of environmental, health, safety and facilities; Chad Smith, deputy chief of the Ohio Department of Development’s Office of Energy; and Jeff Van Dine, American Electric Power of Ohio’s customer services engineer.
