Eaton Cummins Automated Transmission Technologies' Endurant XD transmissions will now be available in International LT and HX models in North America, the company announced Wednesday. It is part of Cummins integrated powertrain paired with the X15 engine.

Endurant XD transmissions are purpose-built, 18-speed automated transmissions designed for on-highway applications with high gross combined weight ratings, such as vocational applications in harsh environments and double- and triple-trailer trucks. It offers low speed maneuverability and optimized software for smart shifting decisions, Eaton Cummins says, including Performance Goals to control shift points and other features to improve efficiency and performance. The transmission also has up to six reverse gears and a comprehensive suite of GearLogic features to improve efficiency and performance.
