The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):
- Stoughton Trailers is recalling certain 2023-2024 Intermodal container chassis. The wheel lug nuts are improperly tightened. NHTSA says 1,152 units are potentially affected.
- Great Dane Trailers is recalling certain 2023 Champion and Everest dry van trailers equipped with Tire Pilot Plus-Electronic Regulator Control Unit assemblies. All eight tires may experience a loss of tire pressure while driving faster than 45 mph. In the interim, Great Dane says to disable the Tire Pilot Plus system. NHTSA says potentially 2,426 units are affected.
- Altec Industries is recalling certain 1999-2022 L Series and LR Series aerial devices. A hydraulic hose may have been installed between the cylinder port and load-holding valve instead of metallic tubing, which can result in a damaged hydraulic hose and failure of the load-holding feature. Altec will inspect the units for a hydraulic hose and replace it with specified metallic tubing, as necessary, for free. NHTSA says 3,824 units are potentially affected. Certain 2019-2022 AT335 Altec vehicles may have an inverter-powered outlet at the aerial boom tip that does not have ground-fault interrupter (GFCI) protection. Dealers will inspect and install a GFCI outlet as necessary, for free. NHTSA says 18 units are potentially affected.
