The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):

  • Chrysler is recalling certain 2026 Ram 3500, 3500 Cab Chassis, 2500, 4500 Cab Chassis, and 5500 Cab Chassis vehicles. The instrument panel may display an incorrect brake system warning light. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Control and Displays." An incorrect warning light can fail to alert the driver to critical safety information, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 2,885 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • The Heil Co. is recalling certain 2018-2020 front end loader garbage trucks. Excessive vibrations may cause the front head hydraulic tubes to leak. A hydraulic fluid leak in the presence of an ignition source, such as hot engine or exhaust components, can increase the risk of a fire. NHTSA says 136 units are potentially affected by the recall.
