
The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):
- Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) is recalling certain Thomas Built Buses 2023-2026 Saf-T-Liner EFX and Saf-T-Liner HDX school buses. The heater hose clamps may not have been tightened properly, causing the hose to disconnect and leak heating coolant inside the passenger compartment. Contact with hot heating coolant may burn occupants, increasing the risk of injury. NHTSA says 2,843 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- DTNA is recalling certain Thomas Built Buses 2023-2025 Saf-T-Liner EFX and 2023-2026 Saf-T-Liner HDX vehicles. The heater hose clamps may not have been tightened properly, causing the hose to disconnect and leak heating coolant inside the passenger compartment. Contact with hot heating coolant may burn occupants, increasing the risk of injury. NHTSA says 52 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- General Motors is recalling certain 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, 3500, GMC Sierra 2500, 3500, and 2020-2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles that may have been repaired incorrectly under recall 24V797. The transmission control valve may fail and cause the rear wheels to lock up. Rear wheel lock up increases the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 1,055 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- International Motors is recalling certain 2026-2027 MV vehicles. The ECU software may fail to engage the brakes with adaptive cruise control (ACC) or hill hold assist. A vehicle that does not automatically brake as expected increases the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 204 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Shyft Group is recalling certain 2024-2025 Blue Arc BA4L-800 vehicles. The mounting fasteners may loosen or detach, causing the steering gearbox to bind. Binding in the gearbox can cause a loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 149 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Winnebago Industries is recalling certain 2020-2023 View and Navion recreational vehicles. The rear roof cap aerofence trim may become loose and detach during transit. A detached roof cap can become a road hazard for other vehicles and increase the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 4,024 units are potentially affected by the recall.
