The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
- Chrysler is recalling certain 2026 Ram 1500 vehicles. The headlight wiring may cause the parking lights and daytime running lights to flicker on and off, or fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." Parking lights and daytime running lights that fail to illuminate properly reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 12,592 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) is recalling certain 2026-2027 Thomas Built SAF-T-LINER HDX2 and Thomas Built SAF-T-LINER EFX2 school buses. The entrance door may fail to open or close when the switch is activated. A door that fails to open or close increases the risk of injury to occupants in a crash. NHTSA says 117 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- DTNA is recalling certain 2026-2027 Thomas Built SAF-T-LINER HDX2 transit buses. The entrance door may fail to open or close when the switch is activated. A door that fails to open or close increases the risk of injury to occupants in a crash. NHTSA says 37 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Jayco is recalling certain 2026 Seismic fifth toy haulers. The inverter may have been installed without a grounding connection. The electrical system may overheat without a ground, increasing the risk of a fire. There is also an increased risk of injury from electrical shock. NHTSA says 205 units are potentially affected by the recall.
