The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):

  • Altec Industries is recalling certain 2024-2026 AC Series Crane vehicles. The inside joints between the side plates and the base plates of the 26-ft., insulating personnel jib (IJ26) may be missing welds. Missing welds can lead to platform joint failure due to fatigue or overload, resulting in the platform falling from the boom tip, increasing the risk of injury. NHTSA says 14 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Forest River is recalling certain 2025-2026 NOBO, Ibex, and 2025-2027 RPOD recreational trailers. The 110V circuits on the distribution panel may be mislabeled, which can result in electrical shock. Electrical shock increases the risk of injury. NHTSA says 1,824 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Nova Bus is recalling certain 1997-2002, 2005-2024 LFS and 2009-2024 LFS Artic transit buses. The low brake air pressure warning light may fail to illuminate when the engine is off. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 121, "Air Brake Systems." A low brake air pressure warning light that fails to illuminate when the engine is off will not alert the driver to a low brake pressure condition, increasing the risk of a crash if the parking brake is disengaged before starting the engine. NHTSA says 5,680 units are potentially affected by the recall.
