ASE holding heavy-duty cybersecurity webinar

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is hosting a free webinar at 4 p.m. ET, on Tuesday, Oct. 1, titled “An Introduction to Heavy-Duty Vehicle Cybersecurity.”

In this webinar, Urban Jonson with Serjon will provide an introductory overview of general cybersecurity ideas and concepts as well as go more in-depth on how cybersecurity issues can impact heavy-duty vehicles.

ASE says specific topics covered in the webinar include: 

  • Cybersecurity terms and definitions
  • Attack surface of a heavy-duty vehicle
  • Potential impacts on the vehicle
  • What might the diagnostics look like during an attack
  • What can you do to defend a vehicle

ASE says Participants in this webinar will receive a certificate of attendance for this live session. Please allow one week for automatic email delivery of the certificate, ASE says.

After registering, a confirmation email will be sent containing information about joining the webinar. Those who are not sure if they can attend are encouraged to register as they will receive a follow-up email with details on how to attend a recorded session, if available.
