Rizon's Class 4 and 5 electric trucks will be available for order in Canada starting in June, the company announced Wednesday.

Rizon says there's a growing market in Canada for sustainable solutions for fleet operators and owner/operators. The Canadian government set a zero emissions goal of 2050, and Rizon says businesses are looking into alternative fuel solutions. The trucks are designed for urban transportation and can charge on chargers installed for cars.
Rizon trucks range from 15,995 lbs. to 17,995 lbs. in gross vehicle weight and can run from 70-160 miles on a singe charge, depending on the installed battery pack. They can charge on DC fast chargers or Level 2 AC chargers.
More than $75,000 in government grants are available to businesses and organizations to purchase Rizon trucks, the company says. Some provinces, such as British Columbia and Quebec, may offer additional incentives.
Rizon trucks will be sold at Velocity Truck Centres in western Canada and GLOBOCAM in eastern Canada.
