Model 1 Commercial Vehicles marked its 45th anniversary recently.
The company was founded in 1980 as Creative Transportation Systems. It was acquired by the Matijevich family in 1993, expanding from a regional dealer to the nation's largest commercial transit provider. In 2022, it rebranded to Model 1.

More than 100 Model 1 team members paid tribute to the company recently at the company's headquarters in Indianapolis. Today, Model 1 provides buses, vans and other commercial transportation solutions with more than 25 locations and a nationwide service network.
