Isuzu Commercial Truck of America President Shaun Skinner provided the industry address Tuesday during the general assembly at the Truck Renting and Leasing Association’s (TRALA) 2026 Annual Meeting in Scottsdale.
Sponsored by Wintrust Commercial Finance, Skinner shared his perspectives on the commercial truck market and the issues affecting the future of the industry during his presentation.
The general assembly also featured a keynote address from James Lawrence, endurance athlete and motivational speaker, widely known as the “Iron Cowboy.” Lawrence is recognized for completing a series of endurance challenges, including 50 Ironman-distance triathlons in 50 days and later completing 100 consecutive Ironman-distance races.

Drawing on those experiences, Lawrence spoke about perseverance, discipline and the mindset required to push beyond perceived limits. His message connected those lessons to leadership and personal growth. His session was sponsored by Volvo Trucks North America.
“These speakers brought both industry perspective and personal inspiration to the program,” says Jake Jacoby, TRALA president and CEO. “It is always valuable for our members to hear both from innovators within the industry and from people who challenge us to think about leadership in new ways.”
