Traton Group, parent company of International Trucks, noted a 1% year-over-year improvement in global sales in the second quarter of 2025.
Based on preliminary figures, Traton notes total sales of 80,000 units in Q2, up from 79,000 last year. The company states its total sales for the first half of the year were still down 4% — from 160,100 units in 2024 to 153,100 units in 2025 — but the Q2 improvement in an “uncertain market environment” was an positive sign for the year.
In North America, International sales slightly outpaced Traton’s global performance. The Lisle, Ill.-based truck maker saw sales rise by 10% in Q2, with 17,600 units sold. That was up from 16,000 units last year. Overall, International sales were down only 2% from 2024 in the first six months of the year.
Traton will post its first-half financial report with more detailed second-quarter earnings on July 25.
