TEN Cool, a division of TEN (Transportation Equipment Network), received a U.S. utility patent for its bumper system. The bumper system allows refrigerated trailers and heated vans to be converted for specialized cargo transport.

It was designed to address challenges in dairy and foodservice distribution, combatting product damage, limited airflow, specialized equipment and restricted redeployment options. TEN Cool says fleets are seeing efficiency gains and measurable savings.
The system also allows for up to two additional pallets of product for load, up to 11% more capacity, supporting cost control and environmental efficiency goals. The company says fleets can improve airflow and reduce gaps between pallets, with tighter temperature controls, reduced product damage and fewer losses from spoilage.
