On Tuesday at ATA’s Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) Annual Meeting in Nashville, the company launched TrackRR Lite, a compact, self-contained asset tracking solution designed to give fleets reliable visibility into non-powered and infrequently used assets — including empty storage containers, specialized equipment and trailers.
Built for simplicity, durability and long life, Road Ready says TrackRR Lite will provide essential location data without the cost or infrastructure of full telematics systems. The device installs in minutes, requires no wiring and features multi-year battery life, making it ideal for assets that sit idle, move intermittently or operate far from powered vehicles.
“Historically, misplaced equipment could take days or weeks to locate and result in valuable lost time and money,” says Jeff Irish, general manager at Road Ready. “TrackRR Lite was designed specifically for this challenge — providing reliable location visibility in a simple, cost-effective solution without the burden of complex installation or ongoing maintenance.”

The company says TrackRR Lite works by transmitting time-stamped GPS location updates over secure LTE-M connectivity, and integrates seamlessly with the Road Ready Fusion platform.
Designed to perform in harsh conditions — ideal applications include non-powered trailers and containers, specialized or high-value equipment, stored, leased or seasonal assets and supplemental tracking for mixed fleets — the company adds the compact device features a rugged, weather-sealed housing rated for outdoor exposure and vibration. Configurable reporting intervals also enable customers to balance update frequency with battery life — supporting use cases ranging from daily location confirmation to long-term storage monitoring.
Available now in North America, Road Ready sates TrackRR Lite offers fleets a practical entry point into asset tracking, and a complementary solution for organizations that need visibility without the overhead of advanced telematics.
