Mack Trucks has unveiled a new instrument cluster for the Mack TerraPro model.
According to Mack, the new instrument cluster is identical to the one offered in the Mack LR refuse vehicle and includes an improved layout and the addition of Mack Co-Pilot, a digital driver onboard display that monitors critical vehicle data. Information such as fuel economy, odometer, pressure and temperature gauges and alerts from Mack GuardDog Connect, Mack’s integrated telematics solution that proactively monitors truck performance, is available on the display.
“The addition of Mack Co-Pilot with the new TerraPro instrument cluster enables more truck information to be shared with the driver,” says Josh Seiferth, Mack senior product manager for cabover. “Now the driver has real-time access to data such as soot levels and performance tracking.”
Mack adds Co-Pilot offers many features including configurable menus, a favorites screen, digital gauge representations, aftertreatment menu and vehicle messages. Mack Co-Pilot can run diagnostics to find and display active fault codes along with the corresponding description, such as a Check Engine lamp with the description of the situation.
The new instrument cluster on the Mack TerraPro is currently available, the company says.
