Rihm honored by Women in Trucking

Rihm Family Companies was named a Top Company for Women to Work for in Transportation, and a Top Woman-Owned Business by the Women in Trucking Association (WIT). This is the sixth year in a row that Rihm has received these two honors.

Every year, WIT highlights the top companies that are exceptional workplaces for women with its Top Company for Women to Work for in Transportation recognition. WIT says companies named to this list are supportive of gender diversity, accommodate family and life balance, offer competitive compensation, benefits, continued training, and more. This year, the prestigious recognition program garnered a record number of more than 27,000 votes to identify and validate the companies named to the list, the company says.

“In 2022, Rihm Family Companies began an employee resource group for women – the Rihm Women’s Association (RWA) which furthers its commitment to gender diversity,” says Kristin Ridley, Rihm marketing communications manager.  “We are excited that the RWA doubled its membership in its first year and expanded its activities to include charitable giving, networking events, financial planning sessions, and will host its first full-day conference in 2024.  Women who work at Rihm experience a supportive environment where there are endless opportunities for personal and professional growth.”

In addition to the Top Company for Women designation, Rihm also received the Top Woman-Owned Business recognition.

“Women, like Rihm Family Companies’ President and CEO, Kari Rihm, bring unique perspectives, skills, and experiences to the businesses they lead, which can make them ideal business owners,” says WIT president and CEO, Jennifer Hedrick. “The Women in Trucking Association continues to encourage female entrepreneurs to start and lead their own businesses, which can lead toward increased financial independence and create pathways for other women pursuing similar goals.”
