Brian Peters from Salem NationaLease from North Carolina, is the winner of the NationaLease Tech Challenge.
He, along with first runner-up Wade Murphy-Price from Airoldi Brothers NationaLease and second runner-up Keran Valji from VEL NationaLease will represent NationaLease at the TMC SuperTech Competition this year.
Peters previously placed as a regional winner in NationaLease's competition in 2014, 2015, 2019, 2020 and 2021. He was second runner up in 2014 and 2021, and first runner-up in 2019. He was North Carolina's top state tech in 2022 and 2023 and finished in the top 10 at SuperTech in 2023.
"The talent and initiative on display during the Tech Challenge was truly amazing and we congratulate Brian for winning the top spot in a fierce competition," says Jane Clark, senior vice president of operations at NationaLease. Tech Challenge participants came from full-service truck leasing companies across the United States and Canada. It includes a 100-question multiple-choice exam, then the leading technicians from nine regions compete in a hands-on competition held at Aim NationaLease's truck maintenance shop ahead of the Maintenance Managers Meeting. In addition to the nine regional winners, the second-highest scoring tech also advanced.
The remaining Tech Challenge finalists were:

- Region 3: Scott Bosnyak, Aim NationaLease.
- Region 5: Carl Diehl, Hogan Truck Leasing Inc., a NationaLease member.
- Region 6: Erien White, Transervice Leasing, a NationaLease member.
- Region 8: Kyle Dillard, Hogan Truck Leasing Inc., a NationaLease member.
- Region 9: John Norwood, Aim NationaLease.

- Fasteners/wire: Carl Diehl.
- Fan hub, start and charge: Brian Peters.

- Detroit Mechanical: Keran Valji.
- Electrical: John Norwood.
- Cab controls: Erien White.
