The following employment announcements were made in the trucking industry the week of April 5, 2026:
- The American Trucking Associations' Safety Management Council (SMC) elected new leadership. Jeff Mercadante, vice president of safety and risk at Pitt Ohio, is the new chairman. First vice chairman is Steve Ralston, director of transportation safety and compliance at Ashley Distribution Services. Tim Smith is the second vice chairman. Donielle Dziedzic, director of loss prevention at A. Duie Pyle, is treasurer.
- Vik Shah was named president of Morgan Truck Body, succeeding Corby Stover. Kevin Hoban was named senior vice president of operations.
- Dorman Products named Kevin Olsen, president and CEO, as chairman of the board. He will succeed Steven Berman, who will continue to serve on the company's board.
