The notice was filed May 6 and says layoffs will run July 6-Sept. 30. Hengst's website says the Camden plant employs more than 250 people that make modules and filter inserts for the automotive industry for passenger cars, trucks, agricultural and construction machinery, and the free parts market.

The plan was established in 2005, the company says, and was the first Hengst-owned plant as part of the company's internationalization in the early 2000s.
