Advantage Truck Group (ATG) says it's graduated the first cohort of employees from its leadership program. The program is a six-month course that supports employee professional growth, ATG says.
"We developed this course internally to empower managers, supervisors and foremen across our organization — regardless of role or level — with the soft skills, emotional intelligence and accountability needed to drive their success," says ATG Human Resources Director Scott Lappalainen. "Our employees possess deep technical expertise and trucking industry knowledge, yet many are promoted to leadership roles without having any formal management training to help navigate the challenges of their new positions. Our leadership development course fills that gap."

ATG says the course follows a progressive learning path that starts with self-awareness and communication skills and moves toward advanced culture building. Core modules focus on conflict resolution, delegation, accountability, coaching, sustaining trust and managing change. It's a collaborative learning and development experience involving ATG's executive team, the company says.

The first graduates of the program are:
- Conner Battistoni, parts manager, ATG Westminster.
- Aaron Graves, service manager, ATG Shrewsbury.
- John Hulten, service manager, ATG Raynham.
- Derek Mason, service manager, ATG Westminster.
- Jesse Negron, warehouse supervisor, ATG Shrewsbury.
- Stephen Ramos, assistant parts manager, ATG Westfield.
