Rick Hoffman, longtime partner and leader of S&S Truck Parts, has died. He was 80.
Hoffman spent nearly 60 years in the truck parts business.
He became a partner in S&S Truck Parts in 1980 and played an instrumental role in the company’s growth, introducing the importance of a value brand focused on out of warranty vehicles and the benefits of a private label methodology for dealers, both concepts that became an important part of S&S and the broader aftermarket business of today.
He also was well known across the parts business and was known for his engaging personality, sense of humor and storytelling and how he genuinely with people throughout the industry.
