Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems and its employees raised more than $1 million in grants and donations and contributed more than 11,260 service hours to its community.
"Team Bendix truly went above and beyond in 2024, volunteering both in person and virtually," says Maria Gutierrez, Bendix's senior director of environmental, social and governance. "At both the corporate and individual levels, we contributed in countless ways — from donating funds to directly supporting those in need. We helped build homes, crafted blankets, and rolled up our sleeves to donate blood. We provided toiletries, toys, food, school supplies and clothing. Our local care teams welcomed new members and exchanged a wealth of ideas. Overall, it was an inspiring year that demonstrated Bendix's deep commitment to supporting our communities."

Bendix team members increased their volunteer hours by more than 20% in 2024, the company says, and awarded donations and grants to nonprofits near Bendix facilities in Mexico, Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. At the company's Avon, Ohio, headquarters, nearly half (46%) of employees took part in at least one volunteer initiative. These included STEM education events, environmental cleanups, community fundraisers, and mentorship and career development programs.
Team members worked with Habitat for Humanity in Ohio and Indiana as part of a partnership that has built 17 homes since 2015. Employee resource groups also contributed to outreach through fundraising, donation drives and volunteer events for groups such as the Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Ohio, Wreaths Across America and more.
Bendix provides every team member with up to 16 hours of paid volunteer time for company-approved initiatives.
