Daimler Truck Financial Services USA opened its new, $7.8 million North American headquarters in Ballantyne, N.C., on Tuesday.

"Our headquarters reflects our commitment to helping customers and dealers succeed, our confidence in the future of the transportation industry, and our investment in creating an environment where employees can collaborate, innovate and thrive."

The new facility builds on the company's presence in North and South Carolina, where Daimler Truck North America and Daimler Truck Financial Services employs around 9,000 people. Around 350 financial services employees will work at the new headquarters.

"Charlotte is the country's second-largest financial center and people want to be part of what we're building," N.C. Gov. Josh Stein says. "These investments from Daimler Truck Financial Services will bring new good-paying jobs for North Carolina's top-tier financial services workforce."
The project was supported by a Job Development Investment Grant from the state.
