Sales representatives from NationaLease’s 175 independently owned truck leasing companies recently came together in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. to take part in the company’s 2012 Sales Meeting.
The annual meeting presented sales staff with the opportunity to network, share insights and review sales efforts. Attendees were offered sessions covering a wide variety of topics set to impact the industry in 2013, including trucking industry trends, legislative and economic updates, new engine and emissions technology and updates on NationaLease programs and services.
This year’s line-up included featured speaker Gary Petty, President and CEO of the National Private Truck Council; Dan North, Chief Economist of Euler Hermes ACI; Don Shaffer, President of Logistics Solution, Inc.; and Bill Bosco, Principal of Leasing 101.
A highlight of the meeting was a presentation by Petty, detailing the upcoming regulatory and technological changes due to affect the industry, and what skill sets will be needed to compete in this new environment.
Other notable sessions included a discussion on Information Technology and how customers want that information presented; a presentation on Selling Against the Competition; and an update from the NationaLease National Account team detailing their ongoing sales efforts, as well as the competitive landscape they face.
