Parker Hilands, retired national sales manager – trailers of Phillips Industries, died on May 3, 2017 in Nashville. He was 69.

Hilands had been working with Phillips Industries since leaving Haldex Brake Corporation in 2013, where he was director of fleet and OEM sales.

“Parker was a great people person with a big heart,” says Pete Joy, global business development, Phillips Industries. “As a sales leader, he was always interested in improving and growing.  I truly enjoyed my time with him at Haldex and later at Phillips.

“He always communicated a deep understanding of the industry during our many business conversations. Parker had an inherent desire to enhance customer relationships and expand the business he represented.”

Parker is survived by his wife, Kathy; and two children, Wesley and Kelly. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the National ALS Association – ALSA.org.
