The company says the Doctor Preload and Temper-Loc have proven to be a cost-effective time-saver when technicians set proper preload for wheel-end bearings. The Doctor Preload Tool adjusts wheel-end bearing to meet SAE J2535 recommended preload settings.

Doctor Preload and Temper-Loc also offers ergonomic advantages compared to the traditional torque-wrench method because the spindle is threaded. Technicians do not have to hold the weight of the tool during adjustment, and both hands can be used to apply force instead of one hand needed to hold the torque wrench in place.
