If you’re a regular Truck Parts & Service website reader, you know what I’m referring to. You know the clock is ticking. The 2017 open nomination period for our Truck Parts & Service Distributor of the Year award, sponsored by Meritor and Minimizer, will end next Friday, June 30, 2017. That’s nine days from now. Seven business days.
Soon, is what I’m getting at.
We have steadily and regularly referenced this date online and in our newsletter these past two-plus months. I most recently addressed it in a post on June 14. If you’re one of our readers who saw these articles and has responded, I want to thank you. Reception for our open nomination period is again strong. This is the fifth year we will select our finalists from an open industry nomination process, and each year we’ve succeeded in receiving more nominations than the year before.
With nine days to spare it looks likely we’ll do that again. But constant improvement isn’t enough to keep us satisfied. We want to hear from everyone. Or, as many of you as possible.
Profiling the finalists for our Distributor of the Year winner is one of the best parts of my job. It’s great to learn about your businesses, and how committed you are to our wonderful industry. But the only way Truck Parts & Service can honor and recognize all of your operations is if you tell us which operations are worthy of that recognition.
You have to let us know who should be profiled in our magazine. You have to tell me—who should win this 16th annual award?
As those who know me can attest, I’m going to agonize over the winner selection regardless of who you nominate.
I just want you to know if you think your business (or a friend’s, a fellow buying group stockholder’s, or a competitor’s) is worthy of our award, the only way to insert your company into our deliberations is to let us know.
So I ask you again, for the final time in 2017, who should win our 2017 Distributor of the Year award? Who is doing their part to provide excellent customer service and product knowledge while evolving in the changing aftermarket landscape. Who should take the trophy home from Las Vegas, and Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) 2018?
All you have to do is give us a distributor’s name. We’ll take it from there.
