Robinair introduces multi-refrigerant machine

Robinair Refrigerant MachineRobinair has released its 17800C multi-refrigerant machine designed to recover, recycle, evacuate and charge many different refrigerants and systems, all in one continuous operation through one hook-up, according to an announcement. This new unit automatically leads the user through its operations and sends specific notifications when it’s time to change the filter drier and vacuum pump oil, plus adjusts from liquid to vapor for fast and efficient recovery. The company says the machine is ideal for mass transit vehicles, buses, refrigerated trailers or containers and other applications that use refrigerants other than R134a and not typically found in mobile vehicle applications.

Its 5 cfm vacuum pump is large enough for the 17800C machine to thoroughly evacuate almost any system, making it ready for charging. The unit also includes a manual air purge function to remove any non-condensable contaminants while its vacuum leak test function provides insight to any vacuum decay to determine if a leak exists in the A/C system. The 4.3 in. color graphical display gives users a clear look at all functions and displays to further provide the user with a line of sight for all operations. An optional printer can be added to expand capabilities and provide a printed record of service performed.

The Robinair 17800C contains maintenance counters to monitor cumulative amounts of refrigerant recovered and charged, as well as other machine operation variables. The 17800C is compatible with R12, R22, R134A, R401A, R401B, R402A, R402B, R404A, R407A, R407B, R407C, R410A, R500, R502, and R507 refrigerants.
