Associated Equipment battery tester wins award

Associated Equipment Corporation (AEC) has announced the Model 12-2415 Battery and Electrical System Tester was selected as winner of MOTOR Magazine’s Top 20 Tools Award. The 12-2415 is featured in the September 2018 issue as a new, exciting and innovative product for professional technicians and shop owners, according to an announcement.

“We are excited that our new graphical tester is a top 20 tool for 2018. Our new tester is capable of testing most battery types, including AGM, WET/Flooded and Enhanced Flooded (stop-start), using a graphical interface for simplified multi-lingual use,” says Kimberly Cottle, AEC president and CEO. “We continue to lead the market in professional quality battery management tools and equipment and this is another step forward in technology advancement for our St. Louis-based company.”

The Model 12-2415 analyzer performs 12V battery and electrical systems testing including the ripple diode test and earth ground as well as 24V starter and alternator systems. The tester has an integrated thermal printer with customizable header for shop use as well as the ability to key-in particulars for the battery model, vehicle license plate and customer name and is reverse-polarity protected. The unit is sold in a blow molded carrying case to hold the tester, extra paper and optional barcode scanner 12-2416 (sold separately). In addition, the 12-2415 has a replaceable testing cable, stores up to 70 test results and can be linked to a PC for printing/data storage.
