VMAC has been named a finalist in Canada’s Best Managed Companies for 2019.
This business awards program was established in 1993 and recognizes Canadian owned and managed companies for their management and organization’s strategy, vision, and accomplishments.
“We are honoured to have our leadership team recognized for the second year in a row for their commitment to ensuring that VMAC continues to provide value to our customers, our coworkers and our community while we grow our business,” says Tod Gilbert, VMAC’s president. “The application process is a valuable exercise for the VMAC management team to reflect on the initiatives that are working well, review the impact of recent improvements, and identify areas where management can be improved.”
Each year hundreds of Canadian companies submit comprehensive applications but only a select group of companies are named finalists. Applicants undergo a rigorous and independent evaluation of their management’s strength, including strategy, capability, commitment and return on investment. Regional economic conditions and industry trends are also carefully considered in the judging criteria.

The winners of Canada’s Best Managed Companies will be announced publicly this March in Maclean’s and La Presse media outlets. Canada’s Best Managed winners will celebrate at the National Best Managed Symposium and Gala in Toronto April 2019.
