HDMA announces staff promotions, new team members

Hdma LogoThe Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA), the commercial vehicle division of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association, has announced several recent staff changes, including two employee promotions and two employee hires.

HDMA has promoted Beth Barkovich to executive director, membership development, and Katelyn Litalien to director of marketing and member services.

Barkovich has been with HDMA since July 2012 and has handled various roles, mainly related to new member recruiting and new member council establishment. In her new position, Barkovich will continue to be primarily in charge of member development, onboarding and engagement as well as sales of sponsorships and affiliate member support programs. In addition, Barkovich has responsibility of the Off-Highway Business Forum, the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Representative Council and the newest forum — Heavy Duty Business Forum India. She has 25 years of experience in the automotive and heavy-duty sectors, including former positions as marketing director with two global component manufacturers and another industry trade association.

Litalien joined HDMA in December 2013. Litalien has 11 years of experience in marketing management. Litalien and her team, which includes Erin Spring and Daniqua (Dani) Burgin, will support HDMA events, forums and councils with marketing, communications and administration of HDMA’s member engagement activities.

HDMA also has hired Spring as manager, marketing communications, and Burgin as manager, meetings and member services.

Spring joined HDMA in November 2018 and has more than nine years of experience in marketing and communications. Her previous roles included association and manufacturing industry work. In her new role at HDMA, she is responsible for developing and executing internal and external communications tools and strategies for events and member communications to increase awareness for HDMA member engagement activities.

Burgin joined HDMA in October 2018 after working as a temporary employee. Burgin has several years of experience as a legal secretary in trusts and estate law and has volunteered as a director/chair on various non-profit executive boards both in her home state of New York and in California. At HDMA, Burgin is responsible for assistance with HDMA events and council/forum meeting planning as well as council management processes and execution.
