Dickinson Fleet Services (DFS) announced Tuesday it has acquired Highway Express Trailer Repair Company.
DFS says the acquisition continuEs Dickinson’s rapid growth trajectory and further solidifies DFS as the leader in the Chicagoland and broader Illinois markets. Highway Express marks the sixth acquisition in the last 10 months for DFS alongside its majority shareholder, Ridgemont Equity Partners.

The addition of Highway Express widens our footprint and increases our ability to provide high quality semi-trailer repair services at the lowest possible cost nationwide,” say Ted Coltrain and Mike Dickinson, executive officers, in a joint statement on behalf of DFS.
DFS says Highway Express Trailer Repair Company has developed a strong reputation for providing exceptional trailer repair service for over 13 years. The 21,000 sq.-ft. shop facility will provide Dickinson Fleet Services with its third shop facility in the Chicago market. The shop facility as well as additional mobile repair capacity will better equip DFS to provide semi-trailer repair in the Chicago area with added resources, the company says.

Piecek also will be joining Dickinson Fleet Service as regional service manager and be heading up the semi-trailer repair service in the Chicago region.
