Though designed for use with Phillips products in mind, the company says its new Qwik-Clamp also will accept other applications approximately 1.6 in., in diameter. Unlike traditional hanging cable clamps, with the Qwik-Clamp, cable installation is quick, easy, and requires no tools. Simply open the clamp, position it on the assembly, and lock it into place. It installs on the assembly in seconds, and cable location adjustment is simple.
Phillips adds the clamp’s secure draw latch creates a positive lock, keeps cables in place, and stays connected at over 100 lb. of pull force. The clamp is made of non-corrosive and UV resistant durable nylon for outstanding performance in extreme weather conditions with a working temperature of -40°F to 150°F (-40°C to 66°C). The stainless steel carbineer allows for quick attachment of the clamp to a tender spring or pogo stick, the company says.
Additionally, with the introduction of the Qwik-Clamp, a rolling product revision will begin mid-August 2019 to replace the included cable clamp (5-5018) with the new Qwik-Clamp (17-181) on all premium 3-in-1’s with a QCMS2 7-way electrical assembly or QCP 7-way electrical assembly. Phillips Industries says it premium electrical and air combination assemblies offer an all-in-one system designed for cable protection and corrosion prevention. Including the Qwik-Clamp is just one more added benefit when purchasing these premium products, the company says.
