Hey independent aftermarket businesses, truck and trailer dealers. Who is your best customer? Who is the nation’s best owner-operator and company driver?
The winners in this year’s Driver of the Year Contest won’t be announced until March 3, at the annual meeting of the Truckload Carriers Association in Kissimmee, Florida, but the application process is now open.
Each winner will receive $25,000. Two runners-up in each contest will receive $2,500 each.
The contests are sponsored by Love’s and Cummins. The Owner-Operator of the Year contest is produced by TCA and Overdrive. TCA and Truckers News produce the Company Driver of the Year contest. Both Overdrive and Truckers News are owned by Randall-Reilly and are sister publications of Trucks, Parts, Service.
The competition is intended to recognize drivers with strong safety records who’ve also improved the image of trucking and served their communities. The owner-operator award also recognizes business acumen.
