Who’s in the news: Our weekly trucking employment report

The following employment changes were announced to the trucking industry last week (Dec. 16-22, 2019).

  • Dana Incorporated’s board of directors has elected the company’s president and CEO, James K. Kamsickas, to the additional post of chairman of the board. Keith E. Wandell, who has served on Dana’s board since July 2008 and as non-executive chairman since September 2016, will continue on the board as lead independent director. The board also voted to expand its membership to nine directors and enhance its technology acumen by adding Bridget E. Karlin, chief technology officer and vice president, IBM global technology services.
  • Four Star Freightliner has named Josh Nichols its top revenue-producing technician in 2019.
  • OptiCat, a leading supplier of cataloging data services for the automotive and heavy-duty aftermarket, has announced the appointments of Don McEntee as director of sales and marketing, and Kyle Johnson as director of business development.
  • Grede announced Cary Wood has been appointed CEO, Paul Suber has been named chief operating officer, Mike Lobbia has been named CFO and Tony Lovell has been named president, head of commercial.
  • Ann Fandozzi has been named CEO at Ritchie Bros., and has joined the company’s board of directors, effective Jan. 6, 2020.
  • BBB Industries has appointed Don Bigler to chairman emeritus, recognizing his three decades of service to BBB and his ongoing involvement as an advisor to the CEO.
  • Bergstrom has appointed Delbert P. Walton to serve as its new field service technician for the state of Texas.
  • TEC Equipment announced Kelly Knox as the new chief financial officer. Knox will lead all aspects of the company’s finance, accounting, treasury and IT functions.
  • The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce has presented its 2019 Lieutenant-Governor’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Community by an Individual to Doug Harvey, CEO, Maxim Truck & Trailer.
  • Volvo Group has appointed Nils Jaeger as president, Volvo Autonomous Solutions.
