Who’s in the news: Our weekly trucking employment report

The following employment changes were announced to the trucking industry last week (Feb. 17-23, 2020).

  • Genuine Parts Company (GPC) announced its board of directors has appointed Richard Cox Jr. new independent director of the company. GPC also announced several corporate officer changes: Treg S. Brown was named executive vice president, mergers and acquisitions; James R. Neill was named executive vice president and chief human resources officer; Lisa K. Hamilton was promoted to senior vice president, total rewards; Vickie S. Smith was promoted to senior vice president, employee experience; Christopher T. Galla was appointed vice president and general counsel; Jennifer L. Ellis was named vice president, compliance and corporate secretary; and Murray “Tripper” Briggs has joined the company as vice president, strategic business transformation.
  • Four Star Freightliner employees Truman Ingram, Utility & Municipal account manager, and Jay Morrison, Western Star brand manager, have graduated from the ATD Dealer Academy.
  • FTR Founder Ed Graham has passed away.
  • Fontaine Modification has promoted Jamil Young to president, Medium and Heavy Truck Operations.
  • FlowBelow has named Richard Ruebusch its new CEO.
