VIPAR Heavy Duty, GPN show workforce solidarity through pandemic

GPN Operation Rivet ThisRecently, members of the VIPAR Heavy Duty team joined forces with their counterparts at Global Parts Network — the organization’s brake manufacturing production center in South Bend, Ind. — to show their appreciation for the team’s work during the COVID-19 pandemic and to support the network’s distributors and frontline workers.

Deemed “Operation: Rivet This,” the VIPAR Heavy Duty team worked alongside the Global Parts Network team riveting brake shoes to show solidarity as one team dedicated to the success of the organization’s distributors and all of their essential transportation industry customers.

“The Global Parts Network team has remained consistent and has persevered throughout the pandemic to meet customer demand,” says Chris Baer, president and CEO, VIPAR Heavy Duty. “In the first half of 2020, product demand has been strong, and we see that trend continuing through the rest of the year.

“The VIPAR Heavy Duty team was proud to work toe-to-toe with our brake production crew, allowing us to work closely with our products to more effectively serve our frontline customers and stay aligned with their needs.”
