The National Trailer Dealers Association (NTDA) will open registration and housing registration for its 35th annual convention on May 12.
The convention, which runs Oct. 7-9, will be at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort and Spa in Tuscon, Ariz. It will feature Peter Sheahan, founder of Karrikins Group, as the keynote presenter. He will provide actionable strategies to navigate a changing market landscape, NTDA says. Karrikins is a consultancy specializing in cultural transformation and business development. Sheahan has worked with brands such as Hyundai, Wells Fargo, Apple, Microsoft, Pfizer, IBM and Walmart.

NTDA's General Session will feature a point-counterpoint session, "Trucking Policy Showdown: Balancing Regulations and Economic Impacts in the Semi-Trailer Industry." The session will feature NTDA lobbyist Timothy Lynch, senior director of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, and Kenny Vieth, president and senior analyst with ACT Research. Lynch and Vieth will discuss trade-offs between regulatory compliance and operational costs with insights into the future of trucking policy and its broader economic implications. Kevin Jones, editor-in-chief of Trailer/Body Builders Magazine, will moderate the session.
The convention also includes networking opportunities, such as an outdoor sunset welcome reception, golf tournament, Jeep tour, and trap and skeet shoot. NTDA will also host a pool party on Oct. 8 and reserved cabanas poolside on Oct. 9.
The final night of the convention, Oct. 9, includes a dinner and wine pairings where NTDA will recognize membership ambassadors, sponsors, its Board of Directors and other notable people.
