Wyakin Foundation honors four suppliers for their support

Updated May 16, 2019

The Wyakin Foundation honored four suppliers at Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week with the organization’s inaugural Wyakin Legacy Award for their continued support and partnership in service to wounded and transitioning veterans.

The companies are Meritor, Minimizer, Phillips Industries and SAF-Holland. Combined, they have contributed more than $500,000 to Wyakin since 2015.

“At the Wyakin Foundation, we are changing lives, but we aren’t in this fight alone and that’s what brings us here today,” said Brent Taylor, Wyakin executive director. “To be sure, the companies represented here have contributed a great deal of financial support, but this award is about more than money. It’s about the enthusiasm and passion with which they’ve answered the call to serve those who have served us, by partnering with Wyakin.”

Taylor said the foundation has big goals to grow its relationships with the industry and serve the industry with an infusion of veteran talent. “With these companies leading the way, I know we can collectively reach these goals,” he said.
