Inland Truck Parts & Service announced Monday it has completed its acquisition of Fort Worth Gear & Axle, located at 3409 Kelli Ct. Fort Worth Gear & Axle has been a high-quality provider of powertrain products and services to the Texas market for nearly 40 years.

“We have known Glen and Kay Sanders for many years and have come to respect the tremendous business they built since opening in 1983,” says Inland President and CEO Greg Klein. “This is a well-known business in the Texas area, and we are very thankful that Glen, Kay and their co-owner Rick Heath have entrusted us to carry on what they created.”

“We are excited to be able to now take the next step in our lives and enjoy retirement,” add the Fort Worth leadership team.  “We chose to sell to Inland because we believe they will continue to keep our employees and customers very happy. After several years of studying our options, we feel like we could not have made a better choice than selling to Inland. As an employee-owned company, they know the value of keeping employees motivated and treating them fairly.”

“The Dallas-Ft Worth metro is a great place for Inland to expand,” Klein says. “The area is one of the largest metro areas in the country, with an ever-expanding level of business and truck activity. Now with four locations in the metro area, all offering our full capabilities in parts and shop services, we will be even better capable in delivering the great experience our customers have come to expect.”

He adds the company’s motto, driven by being employee-owned, is “We act like we own the place, because we do.”
