Procede Software has acquired RIMSS (Responsive Information Management Systems and Services Inc.), a San Antonio-based DMS provider serving agriculture, construction, and transportation dealers.

Founded in 1983, RIMSS supports over 200 dealer groups across North America, working with OEMs including Kubota, Case IH, AGCO and Hino, among others. Procede, celebrating 25 years in business, serves more than 1,200 rooftops and 25,000 daily users across the truck, trailer, bus and aftermarket industries with its Excede platform.

In announcing the acquisition, Procede states both companies deliver comprehensive dealer management platforms built on Microsoft technology, with best-in-class OEM integrations and services. Both were built around their people and a commitment to putting the dealer first, and both have earned long-term customer loyalty. Like Procede, RIMSS retains roughly 99% of its customers.

“After more than 40 years, we weren’t looking for someone to take over what we built,” says Tommy Jarrett, CEO of RIMSS. “We were looking for a partner who would invest in our people and products without changing the core values our customers count on. Procede has grown its business the same way we’ve grown ours, by staying close to dealers and putting money back into the product year after year.”

“Respect is earned over decades by people who care deeply about their customers, their products, and each other,” adds Larry Kettler, Procede Software chairman and CEO. “RIMSS has earned it. Tommy, Dale and their team share our values, our commitment to dealers and OEMs, and a belief that people make the difference. This acquisition builds on that foundation and creates more opportunities for our customers, our people, and the industries we serve. I’m excited about what we’ll accomplish together.”

Many dealer groups that run their truck business on Excede have expanded into agriculture and construction. Through this acquisition, Procede states RIMSS brings more than 40 years of experience, OEM relationships and industry knowledge in those markets. Procede brings engineering depth, go-to-market experience and advanced AI capabilities through Procede Intelligence. Together, the two companies can support truck dealers, equipment dealers and the dealer groups that operate in both, bringing decades of experience to the industries that sell, service and support the equipment that keeps businesses moving.

Procede adds this acquisition follows Rubicon Technology Partners’ January 2026 investment in Procede.

“When Rubicon invested earlier this year, Procede committed to reinvesting in our people, our technology and the industry. We’ve delivered on that. This year we’ve moved faster than ever, adding outstanding new talent and accelerating innovation across our entire portfolio,” Kettler says. “RIMSS is the next step on that journey, and we’re excited to build on our shared core values while bringing industry-leading software and services to even more dealers.”

Moving forward, Procede states Excede and the RIMSS platform will continue to be supported and developed. RIMSS customers will keep their existing software, contracts and support relationships, and the RIMSS team in San Antonio will continue to serve them. OEMs and partners will continue working with the same people they work with today, now with more resources to scale and drive innovation for decades to come.
