H.K. Truck Center celebrating milestone

Updated Jan 4, 2017

H.K. Truck Center has produced a video celebrating the company’s 35th anniversary.

The video features H.K. Founder Henry Knabe, Jr. discussing his early life as a technician with an interest in repairing products, and how that led him to eventually open H.K.’s dealership in New Jersey.

“My dad said to me if you’re going to pursue being a mechanic, then definitely be a truck mechanic. So that’s what I did,” Knabe says. “I’ve enjoyed it ever since.”

Knabe founded H.K. in 1982 as a service truck. The company moved into its first facility in 1988, and now employs more than two dozen people. Its current facility is located in South Plainfield, N.J.

H.K. Truck Center is a Fuso and Hino dealer and a NationaLease member. The company also was a finalist for the 2016 Successful Dealer Award.
