Donaldson nabs DTNA award

Donaldson Company announced Tuesday that four of its plants have received the 2016 Master of Quality Award from Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA).

The Masters of Quality award is the highest recognition that DTNA gives to its suppliers. Donaldson says all four of its manufacturing plants have received the honor for three or more consecutive years:

  • Frankfort, Ind., facility – five years
  • Greeneville, Tenn., facility – four years
  • Cresco, Iowa, facility – four years
  • Aguascalientes, Mexico, facility – three years

“There are thousands of parts on a Daimler truck and Donaldson is just one of approximately 1,000 suppliers,” says Rich Lewis, vice president of global operations at Donaldson. “We are proud of our plant employees who help us provide parts that consistently meet the highest standards set by Daimler Trucks North America.”

This year, DTNA says only 48 awards were distributed compared to 64 awards in 2015.

“Daimler Trucks North America tightened the criteria this year, making it even tougher to qualify as a Master of Quality provider,” says Graham Young, of DTNA’s supplier management division. “Donaldson has been a trusted and valued partner for us for many years. The innovation, quality and on-time delivery throughout their organization enables us to provide our customers with great products at a significant value.”
