The winner of the 2017 Successful Dealer Award will be announced this afternoon during the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas.
Four Star Freightliner, Inland Kenworth, Peach State Truck Centers, CIT Trucks and Doggett Freightliner are the five finalists for the award.
The announcement will be made at 5:30 p.m. CT today following a dealer summit highlighting the issues related to the truck sales market and will be streamed on Facebook Live via the Successful Dealer Facebook page.
Now in its fifth year, the Successful Dealer award is sponsored by Automann and Premium 2000.
The award seeks to honor North American medium- and heavy-duty truck dealerships for their business and community success. Judging criteria is based on each company’s environmental/green efforts; community involvement and civic responsibility; customer education; staff education and training, and marketing. Each category is weighted differently but it is not solely a sales award, so the smallest volume dealerships have the same opportunity as the largest.
Previous winners include TEC Equipment (2013), Truck Centers, Inc. (2014), Freightliner of St. Cloud (2015) and River States Truck and Trailer (2016).
As has been the case since its inception, this year’s finalists were nominated by customers and industry representatives.
