The Used Truck Association (UTA) has finalized the agenda for its 18th Annual Convention and Vendor Expo, scheduled for Nov. 1-4, 2017, at the Paris Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
UTA says attendees will enjoy the accommodations of one of Vegas’ newest resorts, and most importantly the guest speakers, the Vendor Expo, training seminars, and special tours all promise to bring more fun, learning, and networking to this convention than any in years past. Registrations are running well ahead of last year’s record pace, so this year’s attendance should reach an all-time high.
The UTA also expects a busy Vendor Expo, where scores of vendors will highlight the industry’s latest products and technological advancements. The EPA will have a booth at the expo to discuss the dangers of emissions tampering within the used truck market, and listen to the industry’s concerns about related regulations.
And once again, Donald Broughton, managing partner – principal of Broughton Capital, LLC, will speak. UTA says Broughton is a frequent guest contributor on CNBC, CNN, FOX, and other financial news outlets. Broughton has addressed several Used Truck Association conventions, and he always brings a clear perspective on the current economy, and how it impacts our industry.
Lou Ferrigno, aka “The Incredible Hulk,” also will be this year’s keynote speaker. UTA says his inspirational story of overcoming a severe hearing disability to become Mr. Universe, an actor, and one of Hollywood’s all-time favorite personal trainers is sure to speak to each of us striving to do more. He won his first Mr. Universe title at 21, and then won again the next year, the only person ever to win consecutive titles.
This year’s convention also offers the 2nd Annual UTA 5K Run/Walk Tour to raise funds for the association’s Jerome Nerman Family Foundation Scholarship Fund. The Foundation will offer ten $2,500 scholarships to applicants sponsored by a UTA member in good standing. The Run/Walk tour will follow a beautiful historic path toward the Hoover Dam where participants will enjoy scenic views of desert foliage and old rail tunnels. This event is just one of the fun and exciting tour options for Convention attendees.
